Leadership

Developing leadership skills is an important focus for our senior students. Opportunities are given to develop these skills through:

• school wide duties
• a buddy system with younger students/ classes
• annual leadership conference for all Year 8 students

Students in Years 7 and 8 have a CV card on which they record their participation in academic, sporting, cultural and duties and services areas. Gaining enough points in a particular area results in an Achievement Certificate being awarded for that area, with continued efforts gaining students a Certificate of Excellence.  Achieving in all four areas with an Excellence in any one of these, gains students the honour of being named on the school Honours Board.

All students are encouraged to strive to achieve these honours.
