SCHOOL WILL BE OPEN MONDAY 26TH FEBRUARY 24th February 2018 Update: Saturday 24 February at 3.30pm Good Afternoon Everyone We have now got running water at the school. Mangorei School will be OPEN on Monday 26th February. We will have a school assembly to outline expectations and requirements once everyone has done their rolls at 9:15am. We are very confident we can cater for the well-being of our staff and students. Staff will educate children around safe practices and measures they need to go through on Monday and the following days. Care will need to be taken by all staff and students to follow instructions and abide by Civil Defence and health authorities due to the cities water supply. See the links below. We encourage families to go through the information on these links if you haven't already done this. Students over the weekend are asked to please prepare to bring a large named (1-1.5L) of water that has been boiled for at least 1 minute to school every dat next week. For students who cannot bring boiled or bottled water to school or run out during the day, the school will be able to provide limited supplies. If you hav a small bottle of hand sanitizer, please bring this for personal use. We will have a school supply of sanitizers in all toilets and classrooms. Students are NOT to drink out of any taps at school until further notice. Water fountaines and taps will be taped up. Signs will be in teh school toilets reminding students to not drink from the taps or fill bottles. We would respect the rights of parents to send their children to school or not. Please contact the school office as usual if your child is not attending school on Monday. Because of the recent closures, our school term has been significantly disrupted, so your co-operation and understanding is appreciated as events will possibly have to change accordingly. Children will be swimming next week so should bring along their togs and towels each day. Thank you again for your support and understanding during this challenging and uncertain time.
