Displaying Gallery: Enviroschools

Mangorei School is involved in the Enviroschools initiative developed by the The Enviroschools Foundation. The aim is to support children and young people to be “active citizens, contributing to ecological regeneration and the creation of healthy, resilient and sustainable communities.”

As part of this initiative we actively encourage recycling of school waste, participation in our school gardening project and conservation of our environment.

With the assistance of DOC, students have been involved in replanting and maintaining the Ngahere bush adjacent to our school grounds.
